I understand your health struggles! I've been there!
I have been interested in nutrition after years of fighting years debilitating, chronic intestinal issues as a very young child. While doctors threatened surgery to remove parts of my colon, holistic health practitioners helped my parents identify that I suffered from food allergies. With their help, I was able to identify my food triggers, change my diet, and regain my life without surgery. Fast forward to my teen years, when I shattered my knee in a snow skiing accident. I was told by physicians I would most likely be in a wheelchair by the time I was 40. Boy did I prove them wrong! Seven knee surgeries later and a dedication to studying functional movement training and holistic nutrition, I have spent the last 25 years avoiding additonal knee surgeries and doing everything I love to do: skiing, boot camping, golfing, and practicing yoga. Recently, I have had the privilege of using all of this holistic nutrition to help cure one of my daughters from her debilitating headaches, seizures, blindness and crazy health issues.
I received a Master of Science degree in Health Promotion/Kinesiology from the University of North Texas, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Science from Texas A&M University. While completing my graduate degree, I had the privilege of training in the Nutrition Department of the Cooper Wellness Program in Dallas for three years, as well as interning with the City of Dallas Wellness Program where I studied employee fitness, health care cost and absenteeism. My research from the City of Dallas study is published in peer reviewed journals.

I currently see health coaching, personal training, pre-hab/rehabilitative, senior fitness, and nutrition clients privately and and accept referrals from physicians, chiropractors, and fitness centers. When I am not working with clients or teaching college students at NCTC, I enjoy spending time with my husband and 3 kids playing golf, traveling, and cheering my kids on in club and school sports.
